Flash BIOS from/to RAID and BASE with SiI chipset.

BASE to RAID. - Windows only

1 - Download the firmware of DATOptic controllers
here - eSATA_PCIe2/21 - SiI 3132 chip set
here - eSATA_PCIe8, mSATA_PCIe8, mSATA_PCIX - SiI 3124 chip set


2 - Connect a HDD to one of the port <-- Must be done before open the Device manager window

3 - Go to Device Manager

4 - Double click on SCSI and Raid controllers

5 - Right click on Silicon Image SiI-31.. select Properties

6 - Select Flash BIOS tab

7 - Browse to the proper download firmware at step 1

8 - Click program flash button

9 - Restart computer and reload the RAID driver and SATARAID tool

10 - Run SATARAID tool to cnfigure drive as your desire raid.

RAID to BASE - PC Platform

1) Burn bootable CD from folder in include CD
cd-rom:\SATA drivers\3124_3132_BiosFlash

3) Boot from a burned CD where installed the SATA Controller

4) At the prompt:

a - Change to CD-ROM drive
Type D: [enter]
- where D cd-rom is our case, change the drive letter for your system CD-ROM

b - Change folder /dir
Type cd 3124 [Enter] if you have SiI-3124
Type cd 3132 [Enter] if you have SiI-3132

c - Unlock the card
Type: above1m [Enter]

Change to Raid Bios:
type: updf325 r6409.bin [Enter]

Change to Base Bios:
type: updf325 b6409.bin [Enter]

Reboot the computer and make sure your controller said "SATARAID or SATALINK" at the boot screen


When boot screen displays
- SATARAIDxxxx.... you need to use the use SATARAIDTOOL to configure the RAID

- SATALINKxxxx HBA is in the JBOD mode

Windows 7 have this Flash Bios tab.
I can´t found it.

Yes with our cards you will see this tab in Windows7 32 and 64 bit
