Sub: Tech question about.... how Sam saved the day!!
Hello I just want to take the time to recognize Sam, your tech guru. I am fairly fluent with computers, and have bought a number of Qbox setups for my team of developers. This time I bought the same setup, not realizing my new mac had pci express slots, and I was stuck with no way to connect my qbox up to my mac. I had a time sensitive video project that required a raid setup. I got on the line with Sam and he calmly explained the situation to me, told me what card i needed and also the cable that went with the card to get my drives fired up. He is a champ and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to overnight the equipment I needed and I was up and running the next day. Sam was great in helping me find a solution that was business critical and time sensitive.
In addition to all this help, and being that I have been a faithful user and purchaser of the qbox and peripheries with my team and their macs, Sam was able to get approval for me to send back the brand new PCI card that does not fit my new mac and the multiline to multiline cable for a refund credit to my account. When a budgets are tight these days ths was such a relief and truly instills trust in DAT Optic for me and my team, and I will be coming abck in the future knowing you guys are willing to work with us.
Sam definitely went above the call of duty. It is a breathe of fresh air to deal with someone real and a company that goes out of their way to help make their clients happy and remedy their problems, instead of some tired customer support person that couldn't care what happens to you.
