qBOX-F is a low cost solution to home, SOHO or back-up storage demanding up to multi-tera-byte of storage space with a footprint of 5.25"x 7.25" x 10.25" (WxHxD), the most compact enclosure in the market, qBOX-F connecting up to four (4) 3.5" IDE or SATA* hard drives via singel FireWire 800 ( FireWire 400 compatible) connection providing a the convenient of hot-plug capability.
,br>DAT Optic Inc.'s qBOX-F is one of the latest series of FOUR 3.5" IDE/SATA drive FireWire 800 (1394b) metal enclosure, which can be program into a RAID 0, SPAN or JBOD mode, the whole enclosure measure as: 5.25" (W), 7.25" (H) and 10.25" (D), one of the smallest enclsoure for four hard drives
The qBOX-F has a built-in high-performance FireWire 800 (1394b) bridge board with 1394 payload of 4096 instead of 2048, and support 48-bit sector addressing (138GB+ HDD). With such specifications there are no HDD size restriction limitations.
Any FOUR 3.5" HDD (no size limitation) devices can be easily, quickly and reliably converted to plug-and-play high speed FireWire 800/1394b, up to 800Mb/s
