The DATOptic RM5_S2M is a FOUR (4) SATA I/II drives 1U rack mount chassis. RM5_S2M is a high density high performance of storage rack mount category with Single 4x connection Multilane/Infiniband and DirectAir tm technology (patent-pending). RM5_S2M - four (4) SATA 3.5" 1U rackmount offers a single Multilane host connection with total of 12Gb transfer bandwidth and reducing the numbers of interconnection, thus increase reliability of system.

Depend on Host controller, IT personnel can implement either hardware or/and software of any RAID configuration, RM5_S2M Four SATAII drives 1U rackmount can be configured as JBoD using standard partition, mirroring (RAID 1), striping (RAID 0) or any combination of Mirroring and Stripping RAID 1+0 , even RAID 50, the RM5_S2M - Four (4) SATAI/SATAII drives 1U rackmount with Multilane will let you have an optimize performance and scale ability RAID solutions.
