Introducing our latest SATA-IC2 (Serial ATA Internal Converter) using second generation of Silicon Image bridge, a first Serial ATA bridge can AUTO DETECT ATAPI UDMA mode of optical devices (ATAPI) and take full advantage of high transfer rate of UDMA mode. Our SATA-IC2 (Serial ATA Internal Converter), with its on-board serializer/deserializer and is compatible with ANY IDE HDD therefore all of the NEW or existing HDD now can operate in hyper fast 1.5Gb bus.

DATOptic SATA-IC2 features a direct-plug-in standard IDE connector that can easily interface to ANY IDE devices such as Hard Disks, DVD/CD write and reader.

Our SATA-IC (Serial ATA Internal Converter) accepts Serial ATA commands from the host's Serial ATA interface, decodes the commands and converts them to Parallel ATA device commands. Through the Parallel ATA bus, responses from the device are deciphered, processed, converted to Serial ATA protocol and sent to the host. Therefore the ATA/ATAPI device is less taxing on the CPU than ordinary IDE devices.
