U2-SATA13 is an USB 2.0 to SATA bridge board with direct connect solution. It has an USB high-speed device port and a SATA 1.5Gb/s host port easily to convert SATA drive to USB2.0 device. It receives standard Mass Storage Device Class (MSDC) SCSI commands from the USB host and translate them into ATA/ATAPI commands to the SATA device. The maximum throughput can goes up to 30MB/sec.
U2-SATA13 supports USB host controller in UHCI, OHCI, EHCI modes. It means your SATAI device now can be hot plug, hot swap and operates at transfer rate up to 480Mbps
